THE ARTISTS OF IMAGE THEORY

Image Theory brings together the work of John Stepuch and Lesley Carpenter, two self-taught artists with distinct approaches to color, experimentation, and creative expression. While each creates independently, they also occasionally collaborate on original works that combine their different techniques and perspectives.

John Stepuch

John works across fluid art, watercolor, sketching, and reflection photography. His work is inspired by everyday scenes, natural forms, patterns, and the unexpected ways materials can transform an idea.

Lesley Carpenter

Lesley works exclusively in fluid art, creating pieces driven by color, emotion, movement, and experimentation. Her work often features brighter palettes and specialty colors designed to create atmosphere and a sense of place.

COLLABORATIVE WORKS

John and Lesley also occasionally create pieces together, combining their different approaches to color, movement, technique, and experimentation. These collaborative works develop organically and often result in pieces neither artist would have created independently.
